The EcoAir DD122FW started the revolution in dehumidifiers, setting the benchmark for home desiccant dehumidifiers for years. Others have followed the legacy technology.

EcoAir, relentless in our search for a formula to reduce wastage and save energy, now brings you another revolution –
E7 Technology and 3-D Louvre to your DD122FW MK5.

ECO E7 Technology has multiple algorithms operating in parallel to manage power, temperature & humidity to optimise performance and save energy. E7 brings 3 powerful features into the DD122FW MK5 :-

• Auto Toggle Power Saver
The Eco E7 Technology has the power to do amazing things with your DD122FW MK5. It senses the ambient temperature and humidity level and automatically toggles between the full power, economy power and standby modes. This function will reduce your energy bill by as much as 40%.

DD122FW MK5 has a built-in auto sensor that continually detects your air humidity. It knows when to toggle the dehumidification requirements. This ensures that the humidity level is under control and that you only use your electricity when absolutely necessary according to the mode you have selected.

• Overdry Protection
Using any dehumidifier at High Modes or Laundry Mode over long periods can cause unnecessarily "over-dry" ambient air. The good news is that the DD122FW MK5 knows when to toggle the dehumidification process when the air gets too dry.

• New Heating Element Design

The DD122FW MK5 heating element has been re-designed to maximise the impact of even distribution to complement the Auto Toggle feature, increasing its efficiency and life in the process.

New 3D–Louvre
Channels airflow over a Wide area or Spot to optimise efficiency when the need arises. Use Wide channel to improve even distribution and Spot channel to pinpoint problem areas like a mould growth on the wall

Questions (43)
can you please let me know if there is castors on the model DD122FW classic robert

Hi, no the unit does not have castors but it only weighs 6kg and has a carry handle. Thanks.

Hi - does this model have an auto cut out if water tank becomes full? I dont want it to short circuit or spill onto floor! Will it help remove damp that has come through outside wall - the original problem having being rectified I might add!

Hi, yes this dehumidifier will shut down when the tank is full. As the water fills the tank, the float switch rises and eventually switches the unit off when the tank becomes full. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call us. Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking to specify a dehumidifier as part of a project I'm looking to undertake to refurbish a small Leisure facility which is used for boating. Could you recommend a dehumidifier that would be suitable for this type of function and that also allows you to fit pipework to the unit which empties to a drain to negate the need to keep emptying the tank when it gets full. Many Thanks

Hi, the unit we would usually recommend for use in this type of setting is the 122 simple or the slightly larger 322 simple. This is because they are better to be set up and left alone to run and continuously drain. We have had many customers in the past who have used these in changing/drying rooms at boating facilities. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Good morning Can you recommend a dehumidifier for a cellar under our retail shop, please. It's 5m x 5m x 2.4m (High). It's old and has a damp feel and smells fusty. We have to be down there for 3 to 4 hours a day in total for storing and assembling products and we were hoping to have a unit that we could run overnight and have switched off during the day. There is nowhere to drain off water so we'd be relying on the tank on the unit. Thanks.

Hi, this unit would be definitely be suitable for use in that setting. It has a 2L water tank and when the tank is full the unit will shut down. If you were looking for something slightly larger, I would suggest the Eco Air DD322FW Simple. It has an extraction capacity of 10L per day and also features a 3.5L water tank. I hope this helps, please feel free to call if you have any further questions. Thanks.

Hi, I wonder if you could recommend which dehumidifier would suit our needs. We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat which is very well insulated. Neither bathroom has a window and the extractor fan is not enough to prevent condensation collecting on the windows and north facing walls of the bedrooms. Also, do all dehumidifiers have removable dust filters to enable cleaning?

Hi, we would recommend a desiccant dehumidifier for use in a domestic property. For a property that size a unit with around 7-8L extraction would be ideal. The Eco Air 122 range or the Meaco DD8L range would be suitable. All of these have a removable filter which you can clean using a vacuum cleaner. Please feel free to call if you have any further questions. Thanks.

I note that you say it has a continuous drain. Can it be used on its own without continually draining i.e. does it water tank that you empty and it cuts off when full?

Hi, yes the unit has a built in tank which hold 2 litres. The continuous drain is optional. Thanks

for somebody with arthritic hands which is the easiest tank to remove. It may seem a silly question but we had one that just had a narrow slot which was difficult to handle.

The unit that you are enquiring you do not need to remove a tank - The Desiccant dehumidifiers which use a desiccant material, typically Zeolite, which absorbs water vapour from the air in a similar way to silica gel. A fan draws air into the dehumidifier and passes it through a section of a slowly rotating wheel which holds desiccant which dries the air. The moisture is extracted from the desiccant by heating a portion of the wheel not being used to dry the air. They will extract the same amount of moisture irrespective of the temperature in which they are working. Hope this information is of some help to you. Regards

Having insulated our loft we are now getting condensation problems in there(stone tiles, no felt). Would an item like this, plumbed in to drain and left unattended be suitable to reduce or alleviate this problem or is there a more suitable model from your range. I would envisage connecting the outlet to the central heating header tank overflow pipe for continuous discharge. I'd guess the volume of the loft is around 60-70 cubic metres and I do bear in ind the fact that it isn't a sealed space and don't want to attempt to dehumidify the world outside too :-) Many thanks. Kind regards Tim Marshall

Hi this would be an ideal unit for the task and can be set up to work as you suggest. In fact we have supplied this unit for exactly this kind of application. It would be much better if you can seal off any gaps with expanding foam etc. so that you are not drawing in fresh air and as you quite rightly say, attempt to dehumidify the whole world! Kind regards, Rob

Hello ! Postage cost to Brittany ? Is the packaging sufficient to overcome careless transportation ?? More importantly, In order to drain the unit directly, {perhaps to the exterior of the Caravan}, is there a spigot which would readily take a flexible pipe ? I think it a good design idea, if , after satisfying it's operation viewed with the removable container, the ability to drain to the exterior is simple, WITHOUT having to adapt or glue bits & bobs... Thanks, Phillip.

Hi it is £36 surcharge to send fully insured on a 3-5 day service with Fed-Ex and the units are packaged well enough to arrive safely. We send lots of units to France and the rest of Europe. The unit comes supplied with the drain hose and the connection to spigot to run on continuous drain. Thanks

Hi they are the two stand out units on the market, along with the Ebac 2650e, and two of our three best sellers. Both are fantastic. What is the specific place / application where you will be using it? Thanks
